Hi Jeanette. The web picture shows multi-colored hats. I assume this is AOK. My Watch Cap pattern says "Please don't use more than one color on cap." I have a lot of 2-4 oz left over yarn that I would like to use to knit caps. I assume this would OK?

Thanks, Pat Ferguson, Big Bear Lake, CA

Hi Pat,

It's fine with me for you to stripe your hats. :) Happy knitting!

I too was surprised to see the hats done in stripes (they're so attractive!) and will pass the word along to my ECW knitting ladies - thanks, Jeanette!

An extra thought - are the striped hats only suitable for the Lenten program - or can they be submitted for Christmas at Sea? Thanks
