Hi there!
Chalk up one more for Staten Island (10301). I'll have to drop by Christ Church when I have a free Thursday afternoon! Who knew there were so many other knitters right in my own neighborhood?
I am lucky enough to have access to a wonderful knitting guru and to be part of a fabulous group of knitters here in NYC who knit for Christmas at Sea.
Happy knitting, everyone!

Hey, friends!
I'm no knitter, but I am the one responsible for distributing all of your wonderful projects to our inland mariners! Thank you so much! You have no idea how much it means to the crews to receive your gifts of love. they are genuiunely appreciative, as am I.
Keep up the good work, and add 42001 to map!
Blessings,
Ann

Hey there,

Please add Teaneck, NJ to your map (07666). I'm a brand new knitter, and my mom is a veteran. Hopefully, we'll generate more Jersey recruits for CAS in the near future!

Great blog! Thanks for the inspiration.

As a teacher, wife and mother, my life is demanding; but I find relaxation from the simple pleasure of knitting. I began knitting for the Christmas-at-Sea program when my children participated in travel sports. I found I could knit at practices and games.

My children are now in college but I still enjoy knitting and traveling. I knitted during a10-hour flight to Alaska this summer. (Airlines are allowing knitting needles in carry-on luggage.)

I’m a solo knitter but would be happy to join a travel knitting group. Please add Toledo, Ohio 43606 to the map.

Jane, I'm in ZIP code 87121, so there is at least one other CAS knitter in your area!

I'm knitting for CAS as part of the Whipstick Knitters. We are all fans of Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin novels and members of the Gunroom discussion list, which can be found at the website I mentioned.

Our goal was to donate at least one item for each of the 21 Aubrey/Maturin novels. We have at least 42 items to give this year, and hope to do more in 2008.

I found your group several years ago in KNITTERS.
For many years I knitted hats, vests, and scarves for my husband. He was in construction and it gets a bit cold here in New Mexico in the winter. He died in 2004 and my knitting was put on hold. I did not knit for a couple of years for Christmas-at-Sea and I missed it.
I live in the 87110 area. Are there any CAS knitters in this area?
